Wooo... Cora made me a banner with my latest obsession. I figured it'd be nicer this way. ^.^ Kel Li gave me the idea, actually, to change my header image. Well, sorta.
Anyways, this theme is 'Masquerade'... And like this it shall stay until I think of a better theme. I think Carisa will be pleased with the change of colours. Tee hee... I thought of making a starry background, but then I thought better of it. First off, it'd be difficult to read, and secondly, I couldn't seem to find a nice background with tiny points of light.
But it doesn't matter. This is simple enough. :) And simple is good. For me. Especially when I have to crack my brain to figure out which HTML code is for what. :|

Navy in the 20th century prior to being replaced by the coveralls, utilities and ,more recently, the blue & gray digital-camouflaged navy working uniform. hmm?oh cos nothing is lost; it's just frozen in frost
what precedes it is emphasised, by its omission.
first experience of snowfall today. woke up and view out my window looked queer; the background didnt look as clear as before, but it wasnt the condensates on my window. it was the snowflakes gently floating toward the ground.
so a little update on major happenings
was in nyc for thanksgiving. arrived in the morning at 6, freezing our butts off. first stop times square for breakfast. then went to the metropolitan museum of art, which was enormously huge, spend a couple of hours but only realised we explored one mere wing of the museum. caught west side story on broadway. technically, it was excellent. the plot was too contrived for my liking though.
second day we went to flushing, which was essentially chinatown, but not called chinatown because another place in nyc is already called chinatown. had cheap dim sum, then went down to wall street to walk about. ground zero, statue of liberty in the distance silhouetted... (more)
AverDimHer Bones
only nineteen
a quarter to death.
white shoes black
from dusty Seth.
is it him
or are they stones?
that thing inside
inside her bones.
She had to know. She had to find out. She found her legs needing to move towards the box. Her hands needing to open the lid. And her eyes thus needing to peer into the darkness.
only nineteen
a lifetime to breathe.
red heart black
from dusty wreath.
it is Pa
it is no stone,
that thing now missing
missing from her bones.
She closed the lid. She pushed the man aside. She took up the shovel like how her soldier Pa had once done. She shoved it into the dirt, and she heaved it into the hole. She buried her Pa, all alone.
